About Me

While I can impart on you the causes we fight for and the platforms we stand on, I feel it important that you also get to know me on a more personal level so that you know what kind of person you are voting for. 

First and foremost, I am a lover of everything outdoors, from the Whidbey beaches to the Wonderland trails of Mt. Rainier. I have a life-long love for animals, dogs and horses are among my favorites. Whether it be a stroll on the beaches of Joseph Whidbey or a hike to Dewy Lake in the William O. Douglas Wilderness, my family and I always have our dogs in tow. 

I am also a family man. Being the father to wonderful children, our family loves making memories locally playing catch at City Beach, splashing at Shipwreck Shores, jumping in at John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool, soaking in the sun at Joseph Whidbey state park, and Hiking up Goose Rock at Deception Pass. While we also enjoy the occasional road trip to Point Defiance or Emerald Downs, we are always thankful to be able to return home to Oak Harbor, a place we love dearly.

I've always believed in volunteerism, be it giving back to the community through serving the North Whidbey Pool Park and Recreation District, Coaching Baseball with the North Whidbey Little League, or Building Jumps for the Whidbey Island Pony Club. Volunteerism, especially in the presence of – and alongside - our children is really about shared success and building a better tomorrow. 

Growing up farming on Whidbey and making a career in the construction industry, I value hard work and thoroughly enjoy it! I hope this drive can translate to working towards a better tomorrow for Oak Harbor!
